I had a fiver on him last night, so he can smoke/inhale the shit whenever he wants if it makes him finish like that!

Re: Raheem Sterling
Is it just me, or is this a non story on a massive scale? Not like he was smoking crack, was it?

All the outrage in the press today is laughable and it's just making society more precious by the day.

Think it's more because he's a professional sportsman and a role model for the kids.

Re: Raheem Sterling
At 20, you could argue that he's just a kid himself.

This isn't news.

His goal apart he was pony last night... missed three absolute SITTERS... give me Coutinho anytime... and Sterling has got scooby doo legs (like Lennon).... will end up crap

Grumpster 12:33 Tue Apr 14
Re: Raheem Sterling
He probably missed the sitters as he was tired by then.

And his hobbies away from the club probably help explain why the poor little sausage is always tired!!

Doesn't show him in a good light though does it. Yes, he is just 20, but after putting off contract talks the last you thing you need to do is this. Stupid little boy.

20 year olds make stupid mistakes, no matter what walk of life and no matter how highly paid. What he does need though is better mates around him that dont decide to share his mistakes will all and sundry for a quick buck.

Sadly, in today's "connected" world, a young man cannot "just" be a professional footballer: with so much money and commercial interest tied to the game, being at the top requires a whole lifestyle sacrifice.

It shouldn't have to be this way - I think he's a silly sod, but that this is 100% an internal club disciplinary matter and nobody - particularly the media (with advertising slots to sell) - has any business sticking their nose in; and they can blow any "public interest" claim out of their collective fat arses.

I wouldn't mind betting if you took 100 random people off the street of an average town and read them each a dozen completely random names of premiership footballers, only a minority would know (of) them for purely footballing reasons.

Who encourages the media to act in such a way? Cunts that post on threads like this. That's who.

I couldn't disagree with that statement more.

I don't understand why anyone would give a flying fuck what this bloke does in his spare time as long as it is legal.

They sell bunches of nitrous balloons at festivals to children - is that somehow better?

All smats of zero other news to me.

I'm pretty sure Rodgers gives a flying fuck about what happened. You must understand that surely.

If he was my club's 'asset' that I was considering sinking £150k+ a week into I'd certainly give a flying fuck.
